Mid sleeper beds with storage underneath are a great way to maximise space within a child's bedroom. Wooden midsleepers are mid height beds for children with furniture placed underneath. Over the past ten years we have learnt what makes midsleepers most appealing and how to maximise the space underneath.
Our Chester is designed for a more compact bedroom as it doesn't have storage at the end. The desk has storage built in, and there is space behind the ladder, this ensures no loss of storage room whilst it can sit nicely against two walls.
Mid sleepers with desks underneath come in a variety of designs, some are attached to the frame on rollers. Our midsleeper beds have desks on castors that aren't attached, they are also larger than a roll-out desk and incorporate shelves. This enables children to use the desk anywhere within the bedroom, it is also easier to pull-out.
Safety is the most important aspect when we design and also offer midsleepers from other brands. Our own range have extra safety features such as higher side rails, vertical supports on the wood rails, grippers to enable safety on carpets or wooden floors. They also have a super strong build.
Mid sleepers can also come without storage, we don't tend to have many without storage as it is more cost effective for you if we have the furniture underneath made alongside the frame.
We are often asked which is our most popular children's bed, to be honest they are all as popular as each other so we couldn't choose. Some people don't need a desk and therefore our Cosmos midsleeper, Ollie and Neptune are popular. Those that do, we have a large selection in a variety of colours, from oak, honey, white, pink, beech and blue.
Mid sleepers are sometimes called cabin beds, to be honest we think more of our lower children's beds as cabin beds such as our Almeria with bookcase and pirate beds.
Midsleepers often go against a wall, as ours mostly have shelving on one end we have made most reversible where you can fit the ladder either side along with the shelving unit. The same with our Supreme mid sleeper bed with staircase in pink, white and blue, this has a reversible design where you can fit the stairs with cupboards on either side.
